Inside this book

Contents

Everything needed to apply the dantas.dev identity consistently across product, web, decks, and procurement-facing materials.

01 — Brand Concept

The story behind the logo

The mark is a stylized "D" for Dantas, built from three deliberate shapes. Together they say what dantas.dev delivers: layered, well-built software shipped on a stable foundation.

The outer arc — craft

The bowl of the "D" is a single confident curve. It stands for engineering craft: complete, rounded, nothing left rough.

The inner arc — iteration

A second arc nests inside the first. It signals iteration and depth: shipping in layers, refining each release toward something better.

The spine — foundation

The vertical bar closes the "D" and grounds it. It represents the stable foundation behind every delivery: reliable, dependable, always upright.

Read together: craft, iterated on a solid foundation — the dantas.dev delivery promise, expressed in a single letter.

03 — Construction

Grid, clear space & minimum size

The mark is built on a square grid. Respecting its construction keeps it crisp at every scale.

Built on a unit grid

The mark sits inside a square safe area (blue outline) with the rounded container as its baseline. The three shapes are aligned to the same vertical and horizontal centerlines — never reposition them individually.

Clear space = X

Keep clear space equal to X on all sides, where X is the corner radius of the mark's container. Nothing — type, images, or other logos — enters this zone.

Minimum size

Mark only: 24 px / 8 mm. Horizontal lockup: 120 px / 28 mm wide. Below these sizes, the inner arc loses definition — step up a size or use the mark alone.

04 — Variations

The mark system

One mark, expressed for every surface. Choose the variation that fits the background and medium — never invent a new one.

08 — Voice & Applications

How the brand sounds & shows up

Clear

Plain, precise language. We explain, we don't posture. Short sentences over jargon.

Confident

We make claims we can ship. Calm authority, never hype.

Technical

Comfortable with detail. Specifics, numbers, and real examples build trust.

Human

Written for people, not committees. Direct, respectful, helpful.

Applications: website & product UI, pitch and sales decks, GitHub/OSS profiles, social avatars (use the mark on Canvas or Ink), email signatures (horizontal lockup), and procurement / report covers (Enterprise Platinum on Canvas).
